DMCA Takedown Policy

1. Overview
BookSystem respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on our Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following information:
3.1 Required Information
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works are covered, a representative list
- Identification of the infringing material with sufficient detail to permit us to locate it (e.g., URL, book title, chapter, page numbers)
- Contact information including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Statement of good faith that you believe the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- Statement of accuracy that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
3.2 How to Submit
Send your DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at dmca@aigent.bot with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request".
4. Our Response to Takedown Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Review the notice for completeness and compliance with DMCA requirements
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the user who posted the material of the takedown
- Provide the user with a copy of the takedown notice
- Inform the user of their right to submit a counter-notification
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
5.1 Required Information
- Physical or electronic signature of the user
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- Statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Contact information including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Consent to jurisdiction in the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if outside the U.S., consent to jurisdiction in the U.S.
5.2 Counter-Notification Process
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will:
- Forward the counter-notification to the original complainant
- Inform them that we may restore the material in 10 business days
- Restore the material unless the complainant files a court action seeking a court order
6. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, BookSystem has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
7. False Notices
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability. If you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright, please consult with an attorney before filing a DMCA notice.
